It is our aim that each resident should live an untroubled, fulfilling and happy life, secure in the knowledge that support and care are instantly available if required. Our staff at The Rise have been carefully selected and trained to provide residential care for elderly people.

Each resident has a care programme which is tailored to meet their individual health and social requirements. Residents may retain the doctor of their choice or register with a local GP. There is full access to the health and remedial services available in the community. Specialist external services such as hairdressing, physiotherapy and chiropody are arranged on the resident's behalf at extra cost.

The Rise is a lively and stimulating place in which to live. Residents are free to choose their level of involvement in the community's activities. We organise a variety of social activities and cultural events for those who wish to participate. The Rise has its very own activities coordinator who will involve residents in a full range of activities including visits to nearby places of interest and local community events.

Our experienced catering staff are proud to offer high quality and varied meals made with fresh fruit and vegetables. You can choose to take your meals in the dining room, in your own room or on a fine day in the garden. We are pleased to discuss individual dietary requirements and can prepare special diets at no extra cost. Your family and friends are welcome to join you for meals by prior arrangement.

Respite and Convalescent Care
Whilst most of our residents are long term, another of the services offered by The Rise is that of respite care. This can have many benefits for an individual. A short stay allows you to relax, secure in the knowledge that professional care is instantly available for 24 hours a day.

Whilst on the break, the worry and stress of day to day life is lifted, all of the meals are cooked, the bed is made, the laundry is done. Being in a caring environment and enjoying the company of others helps individuals to regain strength in preparation for the return to usual daily activities of living. It is really a holiday with the advantage of a 'round the clock' care service.

A week or two of respite can also be of benefit to a carer or loved one who needs a break from the responsibilities of being a full-time carer. A short break at The Rise is not expensive and, in certain circumstances, funding may be available from social services for a respite stay

Our fees represent excellent value for money and are all inclusive of 24 hour care, all  accommodation costs, food and drink, heating and lighting, laundry done on the premises, and any other staff services.  Personal luxuries can be obtained on request and are charged as an extra to the individual resident.
